about

Ghlash is an audio collage, meant to evoke images or "disturbances" that float in and out of a semi-peaceful scene. It was inspired by all the years I would sit with my lunch on the lot of the Park Police headquarters in Sandy Spring MD. As I sat in meditation, the helicopter would sometimes land on the helipad, or there would be a rehearsal of riot control scenarios on horseback, or the motorcycle cops would do a road derby. Then it would return to bucolic-ness and I would watch the horses frolic or listen to the birds sing. I tried to re-create these experiences in a more abstract form.
